Ghana midfielder Mohammed Abu admits his chances of playing in his second straight Nations Cup finals are slim.
The 21-year-old made his Nations Cup debut in the last edition in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.
Abu has however struggled to get regular first team action since joining à Spanish club Rayo Vallecano on a seasonââ¬â¢s-long loan deal at the beginning of the campaign.
The Right to Dream Academy as a result agrees it will be difficult to make the Black Stars squad for South Africa 2013.
ââ¬ÅI got the chance to play at the Nations Cup for the first time at Gabon and Equatorial Guinea,â⬠he told GHANAsoccernet.com.
ââ¬ÅI was hoping I will play in the next one in South Africa as part of my progression but it appears I might not make it.
ââ¬ÅI have not played many games this season and this is the reason.ââ¬
Abu has won four caps for the Black Stars but is yet to score his first international goal.
He has not played for Ghana since featuring in the 2-0 defeat to Mali in the third-place playoff in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.
