Video: Mohammed Abu scores twice for Stromsgodset in Norway

Published on: 20 May 2012

Ghana midfielder Mohammed Abu scored two goals for Stromsgodset who beat Fredrikstad 3-2 away in the Norwegian top flight on Saturday.

The 20-year-old Manchester City loanee put his side 2-0 in first half added time before scoring the match winner ten minutes from time.

Abu, a member of the Ghana squad that played at the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations, has been left out of next month's 2014 FIFA World Cup 2014 double header against Lesotho and Zambia.

He rejoined Stromsgodset this season after a loan move to newly-promoted German Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt was cancelled on returning from the Nations Cup.

Ghana first choice goalkeeper Adam Larsen Kwarasey was between the sticks for Stromsgodset while left-back Razak Nuhu lasted the entire duration.

The victory has helped Stromsgodset to open a four-point lead at the top of the league table.
