Ghana midfielder Rabiu Mohammed and his compatriot Jonathan Mensah are delighted to be in the French Cup final for the first time.

Their club Evian thrashed Lorient 4-0 to get into the Coupe de France for the first time in their history.

This follows their victory over Ligue 1 leaders PSG that took them into the last four.

"It was easier than we expected," Rabiu said after the game, although he did not play and was no on the bench.

"We are very excited to have made it to the final."

Three first half goals and an added fourth in the second sealed the deal, as coach Pascal Dupraz now waits for the winner of the Troyes and Bordeaux semi-final.

The final will be played at the Stade de France.
