Hearts coach Mohammed Polo has criticized the club’s fans for booing him during their 3-1 drubbing at Liberty on Sunday.

The scientific soccer lads got back to winning way by crushing their city rivals at the Alhaji Sly Tetteh stadium to enhance their top-four prospect.

Angry Hearts fans poured out their frustration and accused him (Polo) of lacking the credibility to steer the affairs of the club.

The irate fans jeered at him, a reaction that drew the ire of the ex-Ghana international.

“This is football. And the fans don't understand the game. They just criticize without looking at the dynamics of what happened," Polo said.

"The team played really well yesterday and it was unfortunate that we lost. But the fans, who obviously don't know football, will be shouting and screaming.

“They come to the stadium without an idea of what football means and go about just criticizing anything.

"We are playing really well. If you watched the game against Liberty, you will realize that we were just unlucky. With time, this team will prove its worth.

Hearts will next Heart of Lions on Sunday April 6.
