Monaco boss Jardim not thinking about Arsenal rumours

AS Monaco's Leonardo Jardim insists he is not even lending a thought to his managerial future.

The Portuguese boss continues to be loosely linked with a possible move to Arsenal if Arsene Wenger happens to leave the North London club in the summer.

But Jardim only has one thing in his mind and that is leading Monaco to the French Ligue 1 title.

The Principality club sits three points clear at the top of the table with reigning champions PSG occupying second.

"There are a lot of maybes in football and that does not count for me," he told Portuguese outlet O Jogo.

"What counts is the French championship and the conviction that something good can happen this season. That's what we need to be focused on.

"News is assumptions, ideas.

"[I] Do not know.

"I am so focused on Monaco, especially at this stage, that I do not even think about the future.

"I have two years of contract and I feel good. I do not know if I'm going to be the [Sir Alex] Ferguson of Monaco."
