Medeama president Moses Armah is confident his side can reach the group phase of the CAF Confederation Cup.

The young Ghanaian side have progressed to the play-off after beating Zambian side Zesco United 2-1 on aggregate.

The Tarkwa-based side lost 1-0 in the reverse fixture but secured their passage after the 2-0 success back in Ghana last week.

The continent’s controlling body, CAF will enter the side in a draw on April 1 to determine their next opponent.

“We have gotten to a very important stage of the qualifying campaign and we’ll ensure we don’t take our feet off the pedal,” he told the club's official website.

“The boys did very well and we must commend them.

“We cannot afford to let Ghanaians and our fans down. We are determined to go all the way to the group phase and win the competition.

“The agenda is to take one game after the other and then we see how it goes.”

Medeama will shift their focus to the domestic scene when they arrive home.
