Rumoured incoming Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho will rely on most of the old players he worked with at the club previously like Michael Essien, Frank Lampard and John Terry as he will be seeking to win the Premier League title again.

The Portuguese manager, according to the English media has made keeping Essien, Lampard and Terry at Stamford Bridge his first priority on his return to the club.

According to The Sun, the current Real Madrid manager wants the three players to help him bring Premier League glory back to London.

Lampard, who has yet to be offered a new contract, has long been rumoured to be leaving Stamford Bridge, while Terry has suffered an indifferent season, falling down the pecking order under interim manager Rafael Benitez.

Essien who also suffered a torrid time before being rescued by Mourinho for a loan spell at Real Madrid will also play a key role.

The news is a blow for Blues' fans who want to see Atletico Madrid's Radamel Falcao and Real Madrid's Xabi Alonso make London home.

And there could be further pain for Chelsea with the Daily Mail suggesting Brazilian defender David Luiz is being targeted by Barcelona.

Barcelona have shown this season they lack any defensive cover and have made the £35 million rated Luiz their number one target in the summer.
