Richard Mpong could seek a move away from Kotoko following a frightening bust-up with the club’s supporters on Wednesday.

Irate fans of the defending League champions were unhappy with his conversion ability after he missed a glorious opportunity in the stalemate against Medeama in the Ghanaian top-flight.

The visibly shaken 21-year-old had to be whisked into the car of club legend Sarfo Gyamfi after being held hostage at the stadium for more than an hour.

The incident could force the winger to seek a move away from the club with fears his security cannot be guaranteed.

Mpong joined Kotoko from Medeama at the start of the season after turning down several offers from Europe but has not really hit the spark that attracted the lenses of the local giants.
