2015 MTN FA Cup defender of the tournament, Godfred Saka has commended his fellow competitors for given him a tough competition in the defender of the tournament category describing them as top class players who could equally have won the award.

The Aduana Stars defender beat competition from Robin Gnagne of Accra Hearts of Oak and Abeiku Ainooson of Kumasi Asante Kotoko but emerged the Best Defender of the tournament.

The soft spoken Saka admitted that he is very happy emerging the winner of the prestigious award, he respectfully believes that he was not better than his competitors.

"I am happy that I have won this award. I had a tough competition from Abeiku and Robin but I have been chosen as the best," Saka said in an interview with GHANsoccernet.com

"They are great players and I think I am not better than them. I won because the organizers think I deserve it but not because I am better than them," Saka stressed.

The Local Black Stars right back played five matches for Aduana Stars scoring a goal for his side on their way to the semi finals of the competition.
