Ghana and Las Palmas midfielder Mubarak Wakaso expects his Las Palmas side to build on their strong performance against giants Barcelona despite a 2-1 defeat over the weekend.
Wakaso, who is on a season long loan with the Canary club played full throttle as his side fell to a 2-1 defeat to Barcelona at the Camp Nou.
The game against Barcelona was Wakasoââ¬â¢s second start on the spin after playing an influential role in their 2-0 victory over Sevilla in mid-week.
The Ghana international is urging his colleagues to build on the positives from the Barcelona game.
ââ¬ÅGreat game and we played very well throughout and we left the stadium knowing very well that we gave it our all,â⬠Wakaso told GHANAsoccernet.com
ââ¬ÅGoing forward we have to pick the positives and ensure we play with the same pace and intensity in our subsequent games.ââ¬
The Ghana international is expected to finally enjoy consistent club football after a disjointed loan spell with Scottish giants Celtic last season.
