Ghana midfielder Mubarak Wakaso says he is in good physical condition to hit the ground running at his new club UD Las Palmas.

The 25-year-old joins the promoted La Liga side on a one-year loan deal from Russian club Rubin Kazan.

Wakaso has been handed the no.12 jersey at his new club.

He will be making a return to Spain where he previously played for Espanyol.

The hard working midfielder says he is the best physical shape to start work right away at Las Palmas having completed pre-season training with Rubin.

"I come to help the club and the more competition better is very important to this step in my future,” he said.

“I am determined to do good things I want to train hard to collaborate as much as possible.

“I arrive well as I made the preseason with my former team.

“I play in any position in the field and I'm in a good moment in my career.”

Wakaso will now travel to join up with the Ghana camp for a friendly match against Congo on Tuesday and then the 2017 AFCON qualifier against Rwanda at the weekend.
