Mubarak Wakaso returns to Villarreal bench

Ghana youth winger Wakaso Mubarak returned from a five week injury lay-off to warm the bench for Villarreal in their 3-1 victory over Granada on Sunday.

The 21-year-old underwent surgery after sustaining a bone fracture in the nose in early January.

The versatile winger has made two appearances as a substitute for the 'Yellow Submarines' and has been an unused substitute ten times.

But AshGold player is hoping for more playing time under new coach Jose Molina whom he worked with in the Villarreal second team.

Wakaso has spent two seasons at the Camp El Madrigal after joining from Segunda Division side Elche FC.

Villarreal occupy a lowly 14th position on the log and want to improve on their standing.
