Ghana international Mubarak Wakaso will have his Panathinaikos medical this week after agreeing to join the club.
The Ghana international will sign a three year contract with the Greek giants after agreeing to leave Rubin Kazan.
Wakaso has had loan spells with Celtics and Las Palmas as a Kazan player but is ever closer to finally leaving the club.
The Ghanaian has rebuffed numerous offers to agree a deal to move to Greece.
Reports in Greece are that he will arrive in the country later this week to have his medical ahead of the contract.
He is however arriving at the club at a time where fellow Ghana international Michael Essien is leaving the club.
