Ghana youth winger Mubarak Wakaso is set for action in this season's Uefa Champions League Group stage after Villarreal secured qualification.
The La Liga outfit smashed three goals past Danish side BK Odense on Tuesday night to sail through 3-1 aggregate.
The 21-year-old watched from the bench as Italian Giuseppe Rossi scored twice with Carlos Marchena adding a third eight minutes from time for the Yellow Submarines.
Wakaso put up an impressive showing on pre-season and is expected to play a major role for Juan Carlos Garrido's plans.
Elsewhere, it was frustrating for Ghanaian midfielder Yahaya Siedu whose Israeli side Maccabi Haifa lost out 4-1 on penalties after tying 3-3 with Genk.
