Midfielder Yahaya Mohammed has attributed his persistent à knee injuries to matters from the spiritual realm.
The 24-year-old has light out for newly promoted Amidaus Professionals this season where his performances have earned rave reviews.
But the on-loan Asante Kotoko midfielder endured a torrid time at the Kumasi-based club due to persistent injuries.
But he has shaken off the set-back since he was farmed out on a season-long loan as he continues to thrill fans with swash-buckling performances.
The former OGC Nice intelligent enforcer believes his injuries were spiritually inclined but now fit and raring to go.
ââ¬ÅI have never been an injury-prone player. All those who know me can attest to the fact that I donââ¬â¢t miss matches,â⬠Mohammed told Kumas-based Fox FM
ââ¬ÅI played 29 maches in my first season for Tema Youth without suffering an injury. An accumumlated three yellow cards made me miss one game.
ââ¬ÅSo when I went to Kotoko, I started getting injuries unnecessarily. I complained to management several times.
ââ¬ÅThey listened to me but there was nothing they could do because Dr KK Sarpong, Listowell and Ben Nti are not medical doctors.
ââ¬ÅBut I knew it was spiritual because the players were all fighting for the same position. It was not my desire to get injured all the time.
ââ¬ÅI prayed to God and he has now healed me. I am completely fit now to play at any level.
ââ¬ÅI canââ¬â¢t say somebody was working against me spiritually because I donââ¬â¢t have eny evidence to that effect.
ââ¬ÅItââ¬â¢s possible something I may have done in the past or somebody from my family was working against me.ââ¬
Mohammed is the leading goal scorer with 9 goals in 10 matches.
