My persistent injuries are spiritual - Amidaus midfielder Mohammed

Midfielder Yahaya Mohammed has attributed his persistent  knee injuries to matters from the spiritual realm.

The 24-year-old has light out for newly promoted Amidaus Professionals this season where his performances have earned rave reviews.

But the on-loan Asante Kotoko midfielder endured a torrid time at the Kumasi-based club due to persistent injuries.

But he has shaken off the set-back since he was farmed out on a season-long loan as he continues to thrill fans with swash-buckling performances.

The former OGC Nice intelligent enforcer believes his injuries were spiritually inclined but now fit and raring to go.

“I have never been an injury-prone player. All those who know me can attest to the fact that I don’t miss matches,” Mohammed told Kumas-based Fox FM

“I played 29 maches in my first season for Tema Youth without suffering an injury. An accumumlated three yellow cards made me miss one game.

“So when I went to Kotoko, I started getting injuries unnecessarily. I complained to management several times.

“They listened to me but there was nothing they could do because Dr KK Sarpong, Listowell and Ben Nti are not medical doctors.

“But I knew it was spiritual because the players were all fighting for the same position. It was not my desire to get injured all the time.

“I prayed to God and he has now healed me. I am completely fit now to play at any level.

“I can’t say somebody was working against me spiritually because I don’t have eny evidence to that effect.

“It’s possible something I may have done in the past or somebody from my family was working against me.”

Mohammed is the leading goal scorer with 9 goals in 10 matches.
