Chief Executive Officer of Hearts of Oak Vincent Sowah Odotei has revealed that he will step down from his position from the club but will still work in a different capacity to help the club achieve its targets.

Odotei, who was elected as the new member of parliament for the La-Dadekotopon constituency in the December general elections has decided to bring his work as the club’s chief to an end, but will still hold his position in the management board.

Initially, the astute businessman was reluctant to relinquish power but after a careful perusal of his work schedule, he has decided to discharge some of his work time in the club.

“I’ve decided to let go my position as the head but I’m not leaving the club, I’m just changing my role because operationally I will not be able to combine it with other things but I will still hold my position in the management board, and continue to work behind the scene,” he told Asempah FM after the club’s win over Asante Kotoko on Sunday.

“I love this club and its fans so much, I’m sure they are elated today because last Wednesday we disappointed them but I thank them for coming to cheer the players on in this game.”
