Nania FC have confirmed they will play in next year's Caf Confederation Cup after winning the Ghana FA Cup last month, GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm.

The second-tier side owned and coached by football legend, Abedi Pele, delayed their confirmation due to the lack of financial support.

The latest development could mean that Nania FC have received the requisite financial aid to play continental club football as debutants.

"Yes we will play in the Confederation Cup but how we will finance the trip is something I'm keeping close to my chest," owner and coach Abedi Pele told GHANAsoccernet.com

"What is important now is how to build a solid team to make a huge impression in the competition. The club will soon reveal our plans for the tournament."

Abedi Pele, a three-time African Footballer of the Year, was named coach of the tournament.

Nania beat Asante Kotoko 1-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium to become the first non-elite division club to win the competition.
