Napoli keeping tabs on Sevilla striker

Napoli are considering making an approach for Sevilla striker Ciro Immobile.

The Italy international found relative success on loan at Torino after struggling in Germany and Spain, but the Granata are hesitant to execute their €11 million purchase clause.

According to Tuttosport, Napoli are ready to pounce for the 26-year-old, who has previously announced his desire to play for his hometown club.

The Partenopei are in search of a suitable back up for Gonzalo Higuain, as current reserve Manolo Gabbiadini appears set to leave the club in order to find consistent playing time.

Should Higuain himself also leave, then the former Borussia Dortmund striker may be looked at to fill the Argentine’s enormous shoes.

Immobile had five goals and two assists in 14 matches for Il Toro after making his return to Serie A in January.
