Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis will never offer Diego Maradona an official role with the club, it is claimed.
Gazzetta dello Sport says De Laurentiis is reluctant to bring Maradona back in an official capacity as he fears being overshadowed by the Argentine great.
ADL has leaned on Maradona when negotiating with Chinese investors and in other informal roles.
But even in the potential role of club ambassador, ADL is fearful of being upstaged by Maradona.
So, it's suggested as long as he is president, Maradona will never have an official job with Napoli.
