NAPOLI, Sarri Pens new deal

Published on: 27 May 2016

Big news for this season's Serie A runners-up Napoli - their coach Maurizio Sarri has revealed he's signed a new contract with them.

He only agreed a one-year deal last summer when he arrived from Empoli but has been hugely impressive during his time at the San Paolo.

That has prompted club president Aurelio De Laurentiis to act and Sarri told Radio Kiss Kiss: "De Laurentiis has given me a satisfactory contract with a hugely generous gesture.

"I appreciate it. I'm honoured from every point of view. The president did not have to [improve the terms].

"The fact I'm here coaching at this level is down to him. His generosity makes me feel part of a family."
