National U17 justifiers reach Phase III; turn of Academy players

The scouting exercise by the technical directors of the national U 17 team has reached the 3rd Phase where players from the various academies in the country will have their turn to show their talent.

Players born on or before 1st January, 2000 from the Academies across the country would join players from the Airtel Rising Stars for another justifier your inclusion exercise from 5th â€“ 7th February, 2016.

Players from the West Africa Football Academy [WAFA], Right To Dream Academy, Tamale Utrecht, Unistar Soccer Academy and all the other academies in the country will have three days to undergo their justifiers.

The exercise which started on from the Northern Regional capital, Tamale, on 14th January saw the technical handlers ending their regional tour on 31st January at Accra.

The selected players from the regional tour assembled at Prampram from 3rd â€“ 4th February, 2016 for another justify exercise.

Players selected from the academies and Airtel Rising Stars will join those selected from the regions to form the final team which would start camping from 9th February, 2016. The players selected after this phase would go through the MRI.

The MRI shall be done by two medical houses independent of each other and the results compared to ensure the right selection is done.

If any player fails the MRI test the player would be disqualified.

Players who make the grade but were rejected due to numbers/positions will be put on standby and monitored and called upon should a player fail an MRI test.
