The National Women’s Championship has been moved to next month between 16 and 17 April.

The competition was originally scheduled for the 19 and 20 of March.

The teams had also started with the Biometric registration system which out of the 16 qualified teams, 4 have so far finished their process.

The development informed the Women’s League Board to shift the date of launching, as well as starting the league ahead.

Vice chairman of the Women’s League Board Roselyn Amoh explained to TalksenseSports why the change in date.

“The league was supposed to have started on the 19th 20th, but following issues that we had; clubs are having challenges with their registration and as of yesterday, only four clubs have been able to successfully go through their registration.

“So the decision is that, the start date should be rescheduled to the 16 April.

“The launching will be 13 April because we decided to launch it three days before the competition itself."

Hasaacas Ladies from Sekondi have won all three previous editions of the competition.
