Algeria midfielder Adlene Guedioura Adlane believes the Les Fennecs can win next yearââ¬â¢s Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea.
The Watford player has been named in a seven-man standby list which was released on 15 December by head coach Christian Gourcuff.
But the 29-year-old has confidence in the select band of players and believes they have the credentials to be African champions only for the second time.
ââ¬ÅIt could be a huge African Nations Cup for Algeria,â⬠Guedioura said.
ââ¬ÅI think we are one of the best teams in Africa. We did well in the World Cup and have kept winning. We have great young talented players with a good future and they mix with the experienced players.
ââ¬ÅSo hopefully we can win the competition. We have had a difficult group but if you want to win you have to beat the best teams.ââ¬
Algeria made it into the last 16 of the 2014 FIFA World Cup â⬓ without Guedioura â⬓ and will face Ghana, Senegal and South Africa in Group C.
