Swansea full-back Neil Taylor admits he is impressed by the impact team-mate Andre Ayew has made in the Premier League.

Ayew joined Swansea following the expiry of his contract with Marseille last summer and scored his sixth Premier League goal in 13 games in Saturday's 2-2 draw against Bournemouth at the Liberty Stadium.

Three of those strikes came in Ayew's first four matches in a Swansea shirt and Taylor is thrilled with the Ghana international's overall contribution so far this term.

"Andre's [Ayew] been great and he's taken to this league brilliantly considering he's someone who came from the French league," Taylor told Sky Sports News HQ.

"We were surprised he could make the transition so quickly.

"Sometimes it can take time and players can find it difficult but that has not been the case for him at all.

"I think he's enjoying his football and like a lot of players who've come to Swansea he's settled in well and is scoring goals.

"Obviously that's great for him and great for us and we're all hoping he can continue doing that."

Swansea are 14th in the Premier League and have recorded just one victory in their last 10 games ahead of their visit to in-form Liverpool next Sunday.
