Netherlands assistant coach Danny Blind has backed Ghana to go far at the World Cup in Brazil despite their a 1-0 win over the Black Stars in a friendly on Saturday night.

The Oranje needed a fifth minute goal from Robin van Persie to snatch the win and could have scored more had Arjen Robben been clinical.

Ghana goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey also pulled some great saves to deny the Dutch.

“Ghana is a good team and that’s why we decided to play them in the first place,” Blind told the Dutch press after game

“They have a good chance at the world cup as we do.”

Ghana will continue preparing for the tournament in Florida, USA where they play World Cup-bound South Korea on 9 June.

The Black Stars’s Group G opener is against USA on 16 June in Natal.

Of course Ghana will go far! I am sorry to see Schlupp go, next time bring your adidas studded shoes to the dance. If you had not made that infamous slip, then you (Schlupp) would have made the dance. Coach Appiah made a sad mistake and I am sickened every time i think of it. The "Golden Boot" from the U20 world cup should have been invited instead of Accam. If Assifuah had been invited he would have made the team and he would have been stellar in Brazil. He is strong, skilled, calm under pressure and very deadly around the box. It is a shame. Accam has the same qualities that Waris already possesses, pace clinical finishing, Accam is a Waris clone, a carbon copy. Assifuah on the other hand can create his own shot, a very good dribbler and strong and powerful on the ball. Also he is the best under 20 striker in the world, he has the "Golden Boot" to prove it!

It's totally unfair to degrade Sumaila to this extent in lieu of the fact that he won most tackles and was our best defender. Fine tuning is all that is required from our coaches. Worry not about Arjen he deserves a bit of the African magic. Sumaila will sharpen his rough edges with time.

@abla just leave Essien alone. That's how defensive midfielders play. leave the guy who is sweating his role and past injuries for our sake alone. If you will twist your mind a little you would realize he played well

To drop Accam is totally bias and uncalled for. If Akwesi Appiah really wanted to give Accam a chance then why didn’t he play him at least to see what exactly he could do on the field. Accam is far better than Dede Ayew but for fear of being bashed by his mouthy father just couldn’t cut him. This is sad because now we know that being in the Black Stars depends on your pedigree, big name or if you had established yourself that you can pay to play. That is what Asamoah Gyan has done, paid all these coaches to keep playing for the Black Stars, so they are not interested in developing any other player. For all those who are happy that Accam is cut, celebrate, but he could have been the difference maker in the WC for Ghana, because of his unique set of skills as a striker. Now we all know that Akwesi Appiah is a coward and a wimp. For all Ghanaians, what you saw yesterday, the lackluster performance, if you think that is going to improve? you are joking. That is exactly what is going to happen in the coming WC. There will not be any answers for this bull-turn coach when that happens, because he will not have any. I feel sorry for this coach, I will be sitting and laughing to see Ghana fall flat on its face at the world cup. To go to this world cup with this porous defense shows how stupid, dumb and naive this Asante idiot is. This is not African football where you show up with any group of players and win a game. His elementary and uneducated mind shows how clueless this moron is. I guess if you are not smart, you are not To not even call up Vorsah or anybody to replace Akaminko is suicidal. I am hoping that we will not be dealing with twerps again after the world cup whether they have signed a two year extension or not. I do not trust this coach and I am hoping for the worse.

Coach AA OR Dr, AA is very unfair on Accam issue, don't get me wrong i don't mind but it is very unfair if he was not given the equal opportunity like others to justify his inclusion. Dr AA should have let him play for all on sundry to see weather he is capable or not. I smell something fishy here..probably he could have redeemed himself in Ghana vs Holland match and it would have been extremely difficult for the silent killer to have dropped him. Presumably, that is the reason why he was not given that chance.or may be he doesn't have any outspoken person to do the talking for him as Jordan is enjoying so far. If it were to be a foreign coach he would have taken this guy to become a revelation. For instance Pele was 17 when he played World cup. If he were to be my son i would have switched him to play another country, believe you me because of this bias by the technical handlers

Well it is not all doom and groom.AA needs to work the organisation ASPECT OF THE TEAM.The players were all over the place .There is still time to prune the rough edges. The players are proffessionals and will pick up the needed change. More importantly,he has to be fair.Dropping Accam without a fair opportunity to justify himself is not right.Adomah has had lots of opportunities and he was the most flop last night.Adomah should been dropped to offer Accam a chance for a fair decision. We have the 11 PLAYERS to go far but have we got the COACH with the requisite technical brain? THAT IS THE MILLION DOLLAR QUESTION.

Hey OGYA, are you Accam's agent? :-) how much money have you lost? Hahahahahaa You think with the abundance of midfielders and wingers in the Blackstars an inexperience Accam who plays in swedish Alsvenkan and havent even featured in Afcon before should jump straight up to world cup like a helicopter taking off? To do what??? Lol Atleast Adomah has afcon experience even though I think he and accam has little to NO business in Blackstars setup right now. Next time keep your hard earned money in profitable ventures not bribery!

People stop the onslaught attack on the coach? It is because he is an African like us? We seem to think that the WHITE MAN is always superior, that's a slave mentality and that even degrades ourselves making those comments. Only a white man has technical brain. MENTAL SLAVERY ATTITUDE. We seem to not understand that 6 to 8 guys that started the games were not starters. Change 60 to 80% of the in-field starting line up and it's a whole different team. If the coach doesn't start Non-starter in friendly where he can afford to lose, HOW IN THE WORLD WOULD HE ASSESS THESE PLAYERS TO DROP THEM OR NOT? THINK PEOPLE THINK!! stop being stupid.

Half fit Vorsa is better than 500% Inkoom. Look at how he ve to paddle his legs before he decide how to play. In fact if Kwesi Appiah would be fair to us the Inkoom has no business in Brasil. Our right half is weak and rubbish mind you Ozil and Ronaldo wil operate and make favoured Inkoom and Adomah useless. However, with this mild stroke line up, USA 2 GHANA 2, GERMANY 2 GHANA 0, PORTUGAL 4 GHANA 1. Good luck next time and welcome home with the next available flight and prepare better for Russia when J.E.Sarpond is the coach.

The experience Accam needed right now in his football career is the experience of socialising with the current crop of Blackstar PLayers which A.A has already given him that with his short stay with the Stars. To be sincere he doesnt merit a worldcup spot. THIS GUY HAS NEVER PLAYED FOR BALCKSTARS BEFORE! he is no BALLOTELLI or KEVIN BOATENG! Stop being emotional over nothing, people. These players needed to go home: Adomah, Accam and Rashid Sumaila! SUMAILA plays in south Africa, he has little exposure and still plays African kind of football and we saw his crazy tackle on Robben. Sumaila's limited international Soccer Exposure can cost us unnecessary penalty or red card in Brazil.

Look Ladies Ladies everyone should take a chill pill and relax . Besides Essien and Kwarasey in the first half all the others played like ish. It wasn't until Dede, Prince and Warris came on that the team improved. So let's all relax for a minute. 70% of the players that started the game will not be in the starting line up. I actually thought besides the slip Schlupp was the only one forcing the issue by making forward runs. He did lose the ball sometimes but atleast he tried. My own Christian Atsu looked like he was lost and the occasion was too big for him. besides Essien, Kwarassey and Asamoah the rest will be on the bench. People technically we are brilliant bcos our players have technical abilities. AA needs to improve on his Tactical ability because that's what a good coach does. He needs to know what tactical changes to make when necessary. My proposed starting eleven. Kwarassey, Boye, J. Mensah, Opare, Afful, K. Asamoah , A. Ayew, Essien, Muntari, K.P. Boateng and Gyan. We can bring on Warris, Atsu and Badu in 2nd Half. Go Black Stars

Intact, i really thought that after Adomah had performed abysmally he was goimg to be replaced by Accam for us to see what the chap is made of. Well may be he has not been pulling his wait at training otherwise i will say AA was not fair to the boy more especially when we all know Adomah was a flop in yesterday's match as has always been the case.

Nooooway...not with this kind of elementary school performance. If we improve we might make it past the group stage; but if we continue to play this pattern less soccer we would book our flight back home very quickly.

I understand your frustrations because you're a FAN. The game was executed very well, Test our defence and Goalkeeping with Holland Potent attacking players. And if you don't see this then I don't know what else you'll see again. Winning wasn't an Option for AA he didn't go there to win or draw or lose. He tried his B players and now he has seen their mistakes. Those AGENTS licking their wounds because their players were dropped NO word to you. AA has my support. Last 4 years Holland gave us 4 - 1 when we had our full Defenders(John Mensah Vorsah and co) and also under a white coach. So if today 1 nil against our B defence and you people start cursing then its gona follow you and your family. I know we'll go far

Well said Troy! just picture this .A warm-up game against a world class, last world cup finalist, playing in front of their loud fans, in a parked stadium, with their first team! and against our B team and yet we gave a good account of ourselves!. I cant understand why people are not looking at the bigger picture here. Yes we had an injury to Jerry but there are a lot of positives from this match! This is a quote from BBC by the Dutch coach “Ghana pinned us back and that made it difficult,” said Netherlands manager Louis van Gaal Beat that!!
