The MTN FA Cup Committee has confirmed the new Cape Coast stadium will host the 2016 final.

Chairman Kurt Okraku announced on Tuesday ahead of the round of 16 draw at the Alisa Hotel in Accra.

The ultra-modern 15,000 capacity stadium which will be commissioned on Tuesday afternoon by Ghana president John Mahama.

Last season, the final was played at the Sekondi Stadium where Medeama beat Asante Kotoko 2-1 to win the competition for the second time.

The 2016 MTN Ghana FA Cup final will be played on 27/28 August.
