Ghanaian defender Joseph Adjei prefers to operate from the heart of defence at New Cape Town City.

Adjei, 20, joined the South African side last week from Ghanaian league leaders Wa All Stars.

The versatile Ghanaian defender is versatile as he can also operate from the holding midfield position.

But he has revealed his preferred position on the pitch.

“I’m a centre-back, that’s my best position. I used to play as a holding midfielder but that was a long, long time ago,” the tall defender told kickoff.com

City open their season with a league clash against Polokwane City on Tuesday, before they have a home clash against Kaizer Chiefs in the MTN8 on Friday.
