Chief Executive Officer of the newly constituted management team of Tarkwa United Nana Amankwah Kwakye says the club will aim at Premier League promotion next season.

Nana Amankwah is part of a newly formed seven-member management for the second tier club following the takeover by Dekwakyes Vision.

The arrival of the new team seems to have given the club a new found impetus as they’ve began climbing the Zone 2 standings of the Division One League.

But the new CEO says Premier League promotion will be a real target next season.

“Our ultimate target will be for us to qualify for the Premier League but I don’t think setting that target for this season is achievable,” the former King Faisal General manager told GHANAsoccernet.com.

“But judging from how well we are doing in the second half of the season, I believe if we are able to sustain this form all the way through to next season, we can qualify for the Premier League.”

Tarkwa United have appointed former Black Stars player Isaac Owusu as their new coach since the new management took over.

They are are currently 8th in the Zone 2 standings.
