Ghana coach Avram Grant believes the Black Stars needs to improve in all departments but will make no quick changes until meeting his players for the first time.

The former Chelsea boss was unveiled as the new coach of the Black Stars on Thursday morning.

He has been handed a 27-month contract to revive the Ghana team which appears to be running low in confidence ever since their disastrous outing at the 2014 World Cup.

Many believe the biggest problem bedeviling the team lies in its goalkeeping and defensive set up while.

Others also say the Black Stars’ often feared midfield has now become a thing of the past while the nation struggles to find another trusted source of goals beyond captain Asamoah Gyan.

New coach Avram Grant agrees the team needs a holistic sanctification but says he will only start making major calls after meeting his players for the first time.

“I want to speak with the players first,” he said.

“If you want to be successful, you need to improve in all the areas.”
