New Edubiase United president Yakubu Abdul Salam has discounted the chances of Kurt Okraku in becoming Ghana Football Association president.

Abdul Salam believes the Dreams FC Executive Chairman is down the pecking order of the list of successors should Kwesi Nyantakyi decided not to contest the 2019 elections.

It looks like the campaigning has started too early although Okraku has not announced his decision to contest.

''Kurt Okraku has not reached the level of becoming the president of Ghana Football Association,'' Yakubu told Light FM.

''I am even ahead of him [in succeeding Kwesi Nyantakyi as the president] so he should stop bragging on various radio stations and television stations that it is his time to be the president.

''How can he become the football president when some people around are far knowledgeable than him in terms of football issues. He came to meet me around.''

Abdul Salam is backing Ghana FA vice president George Afriyie to succeed his boss next year.
