New Edubiase owner Abdul Salam Yakubu poured water on talks that his side will be fighting for Premier League survival at the end of the season.

Edubiase secured a memorable victory against Asante Kotoko with Prince Antwi making the difference at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

The victory was only the second for Edubiase who are 13th on the league table with 9 points from a possible 27.

But owner Abdul Salam says the team has recovered from its slow start and should finish in the top half.

“You see the kind game the team played against Asante Kotoko we are not going to relegation,” Abdul Salam told Accra based Class FM

“We had a poor start to the season but you can see that the team is picking up and they are really giving it their all.”

“I know for sure that we will be fighting for the top of the half finish at the end.”
