New Edubiase president Abdul Salam Mumuni has launched a no-holds-barred attack on Greater Accra and Ewe referees and vows he will 'fight' against their choice ahead of the remaining three matches in the Ghanaian top-flight.

Edubiase were held to a 1-1 draw at relegation-bound BA United to leave them just two places above the drop zone.

The Bekwai-based side are fuming with rage over claims of conspiracy theories against his side as the relegation battle heats up.

Club president Salam Mumuni claims there is a deliberate agenda to use Greater Accra and local tribe Ewe referees to frustrate his survival push.

He has vowed to resist any attempt by the referees’ appointment committee to select referees from the capital for his matches.

“I’m going to fight them if they select any referee from the Greater Accra region for our matches,” he fumed on Accra-based Asempa FM

“They have officiated enough of our games. Other referees from other regions should also be given equal chance.

“We’ll not allow and we’ll resist any attempt to select referees from the Greater Accra region.

“I don’t have any evidence but teams in the Greater Accra region are scheming up with referees to frustrate us and we’ll not allow that to happen. We don't want the Ewe referees for our games anymore.

“They are influencing the referees and so we have sworn never to allow any referee from that region to handle our matches.”

Edubiase have it all to do in their remaining three games where they host Hasaacas and Heart of Lions with an away fixture against Aduana Stars.

They are currently lying 12th on the table as the league reaches home stretch.
