Bechem United have been tipped to win Premier League title

New Edubiase president Abdul Salam Yakubu believes Bechem United’s title prospect look ‘really good’ after hailing their attractive brand of football.

United brought Kotoko down to earth after they ended their perfect start to the season with an important 1-0 win at home on Sunday.

The Premier League returnees have earned rave reviews following the impressive performances in the Ghanaian top-tier so far and Edubiase president Salam Yakubu has tipped them to win the title.

“I will not be surprised if Bechem United win the league. I have played Hearts, Kotoko, All Stars Chelsea and others and I think ther quality cannot be compared to that side,” Salam Yakubu told Happy FM

“They have character and play like a total unit. They are simply unstoppable. If only they put their minds to it, I don’t see any team that can stop them. They are really looking good.

“Hearts were pretty lucky to have pick all the three points at Bechem. I was shocked when I heard the result but I’m told it was just one of those days that you simply fail to win after doing everything.

“That is why I was not surprised they beat Kotoko. They have a solid team and seriously one of the major contenders for the title.”

The Bechem-based side lie fourth on the table and will travel to Tema to face sinking Inter Allies on Wednesday.
