New Edubiase president Abdul Salam Yakubu believes Bechem Unitedââ¬â¢s title prospect look ââ¬Ëreally goodââ¬â¢ after hailing their attractive brand of football.
United brought Kotoko down to earth after they ended their perfect start to the season with an important 1-0 win at home on Sunday.
The Premier League returnees have earned rave reviews following the impressive performances in the Ghanaian top-tier so far and Edubiase president Salam Yakubu has tipped them to win the title.
ââ¬ÅI will not be surprised if Bechem United win the league. I have played Hearts, Kotoko, All Stars Chelsea and others and I think ther quality cannot be compared to that side,â⬠Salam Yakubu told Happy FM
ââ¬ÅThey have character and play like a total unit. They are simply unstoppable. If only they put their minds to it, I donââ¬â¢t see any team that can stop them. They are really looking good.
ââ¬ÅHearts were pretty lucky to have pick all the three points at Bechem. I was shocked when I heard the result but Iââ¬â¢m told it was just one of those days that you simply fail to win after doing everything.
ââ¬ÅThat is why I was not surprised they beat Kotoko. They have a solid team and seriously one of the major contenders for the title.ââ¬
The Bechem-based side lie fourth on the table and will travel to Tema to face sinking Inter Allies on Wednesday.
