New Edubiase United striker Abdul-Basit Adam has joined United Arab Emirates side Sharjah on a three-year deal, GHANAsoccernet.com can reveal.

Adam impressed on the team's pre-season camping in Alexandria, Egypt in July.

The 18-year-old played the second half of the Ghana Premier League last season after an injury lay-off to score five goals.

"The terms were better and so we didn't baulk in releasing him to Sharjah," his local representative Alex Ackumey of Lexar Sports told GHANAsoccernet.com

"He is young and we expected him to be well developed after his contract."

Sharjah finished 7th on the UAE Pro league last season.
