New Edubiase United head coach Anthony Commey insists AshantiGold made good use of their chances as his lost 2-1 in the Adansi derby on Wednesday.

Commey blames their failure to convert chances into goals as derailing factor that accounted for their home loss.

AshantiGold came from a goal down to defeat at the Len Clay Stadium.

Edubiase took the lead on the half-hour mark through Abdul Wahab Hannan but AshantiGold equalized just a minute later with a Francis Adjei header.

Anthony Yerful scored in the 72nd minute to seal Ashanti Gold SC's victory.

"Ashanti Gold SC took their chances, that shot from there, if not we got a lot of opportunities during the exchanges in the first half. We should have won by then but it's part of the game. They took their chance and got the better side of the day in the match," Commey said in a post-match interview.

"I think if we had put the balls into the net in the first half when we were dominating and creating a lot of chances to finish them off, we could have won the game but we lost."
