New Ghana goalkeepers' coach Yakubu hails shot-stoppers

New Ghana goalkeeper's trainer Nassam Yakubu says the country has many talented goalkeepers who are capable of excelling.

The former youth trainer took charge of the Black Stars goalkeepers for the first time on Monday during their training for the 2014 World Cup qualifiers.

Yakubu, who took over from Edward Ansah just this month, says there are many talented goalkeepers in Ghana but they must be consistent.

"There are good goalkeepers in Ghana but the problem is that they are not consistent," Yakubu said.

"But with constant training I believe they will be up to task."

Yakubu will taste his first Black Stars task next week when they host Lesotho in the 2014 World Cup qualifier in Kumasi.
