The 2014/2015 Ghana Premier League could start on 14 September if Congress of the Ghana Football Association ratifies the date.

The Executive Committee has fixed to hold its Ordinary Session of Congress on 28 August to review the past season before the new one gets into session.

Congress will also approve the demotion of three clubs from the top-flight (Amidaus Professionals, King Faisal and Ebusua Dwarfs)

Promotional playoffs from the Division One League will be concluded this weekend with the Zone I matches.

BA United have already gained promotion and would join Gomoa Fetteh Feyenoord and Great Olympics.

Congress will also amend the statutes of the Ghana Football Association for the path to be cleared for the start of the Ghana top-flight.

Asante Kotoko will be defending the title they won last season for the third consecutive time.
