New Hearts of Oak coach Vanli Can has assured he will do all he can to see the club survive relegation this season.

The Phobians remain second from bottom despite their crucial 1-0 win over Liberty Professionals on Wednesday.

The game on Wednesday was the first touchline experience for the Turkish trainer who is being brought in as an emergency measure to boost the technical department of Hearts.

And despite reveling in Wednesday’s win over Liberty, Vanli Can admits that will not be enough for the Phobians even though he is optimistic the side will escape the drop.

“My priority is to see Hearts of Oak survive but this [win over Liberty] is not enough,” he said.

“But I can assure you that Hearts of Oak will survive.”

Hearts of Oak next face Bechem United on Sunday before making a tough trip to Tarkwa to take on Medeama in must win games.
