According to Sky Sports, Newcastle have knocked back a bid from Al Jazira Club for Cheick Tiote.
It has been reported, Abu Dhabi side are willing to offer the 31-year-old a multi-million-pound three-year deal, but their offer hasn't matched Newcastle's valuation of the midfielder.
Tiote missed Tuesday's friendly at Southend as a result of the interest from Middle East, but he's now back in training with Newcastle.
