Ghana winger Christian Atsu continued to win over Newcastle United fans in his second straight start on Saturday when they beat Brentford 3-1 at home.
Atsu did not score but he put in a good performance, prompting some Newcastle fans to hope his temporary deal is ultimately made permanent.
Two goals from striker Dwight Gayle and one from defender Ciaran Clark bagged the points for the Magpies.
The win ensured they moved to second place and one point between leaders Norwich after 12 matches.
