Newly promoted Premier League side Wassaman United are in negotiations with Herbert Addo to become the club's new head coach.

However an initial agreement has been reached for the veteran coach to begin work with regards to recruitment and registration of player before the Friday deadline.

If confirmed, the ex coach of Hearts and Kotoko will replace Paa Kwasi Fabin who according to the new general manager, Kurt Okraku has completed his tenure by qualifying the team to the elite division.

“My understanding when I came in was that Paa Kwasi Fabin’s brief was to qualify the team to the Premier League, which has been achieved,” he told GHANAsoccernet.com.

“It therefore presented us with the need to find a competent hand to oversee the club’s recruitment drive with the Friday registration deadline well in mind.”

Addo, 50, made history in the 2009/2010 season when he took league debutantes Aduana Stars to the league title at the first attempt.

He was however sacked in the just ended by the Dormaa-based club in after the just ended league campaign.
