Next phase of AC Milan sale to be completed

The next money transfer in the sale of AC Milan to a Chinese consortium is imminent, with a total of €100 million to be processed in a week.

Silvio Berlusconi sold the club earlier this summer to an Asian group, spearheaded by Li Yonghong, in a deal worth over €700m, and the next decisive event in the transfer is set to be completed.

Almost immediately after the sale, €15m was transferred by the group responsible, Sino-Europe Sports, and now, according to Il Sole 24 Ore, another €85m will be transferred by September 9.

Fans and associates of the club are still awaiting an official turning point which can be named as the time the sale was fully completed, but this exchange of €100m overall means it is well under way.

Once the sale is completed, Berlusconi will own just 0.07 per cent of the famous Italian club after 30 years in charge.
