Niger officials are in South Africa to inspect facilities ahead of next year’s Africa Cup of Nations.

Mena, as the Niger team are known, are drawn in Group D in Port Elizabeth along with Ghana, Mali and DR Congo.

According to top Niger FA official, Mohammad Sani, a three-man Niger delegation is to visit Port Elizabeth to look at facilities for both the team as well as supporters.

“The delegation will besides checking out the facilities available in Port Elizabeth also look at facilities in Johannesburg and Pretoria should we decide to set up a training camp in South Africa,” said Sani.

Niger are mulling setting up a training camp in either Mozambique or Burundi prior to the AFCON, but officials informed MTNFootball.com if they secure a more affordable facility in South Africa, they could now decide on coming directly.
