Daniel Nii Adjei and Gladson Awako picked their first piece of silverware after helping TP Mazembe to a 2-0 victory over Congolese club Black Devils on Sunday.

The match which was played at the Alphonse Massamba-Debat Stadium was organized by the Regional Bureau of United Nations for Central Africa (UNOCA) and CAF in collaboration with the Congolese government to promote  peace in the sub-region.

Nii Adjei, a recent player of Asante Kotoko joined Mazembe in November – just a month after Awako formerly of Berekum Chelsea signed for the DR Congo giants.

The duo have since blended in well with their new teammates who are now in the off-season after controversially clinching their domestic Premier League title.

Sunday’s title feat is expected to be the first of a series of silverwares to be won by the Ghanaians with TP Mazembe.
