Sulley Muntari's newly customized Nike boots

Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari has taken delivery of his newly customized Nike boots engraved with his wife’s name.

The yellow and black coloured boots has unique features including an inscription of the AC Milan star’s first name and shirt number on one feet (the left) and his wife’s name ‘Menaye’ on the other.

Muntari is one of many professional football players being served with fresh pair of boots by the sports kit manufacturing giants.

Four-time world player of the year, Lionel Messi and Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo have all been served with their fresh boots with their names written on them.

The Ghana international’s unique boots features especially the inscription of his wife’s name is to celebrate the former beauty queen’s birthday.

The coupled celebrated the occasion together in Ghana ahead of last weekend’s 2014 World Cup qualifier against Sudan.

Muntari presented a giant cake to his lovely wife and got a big, fat kiss in return – perhaps a lucky charm as he helped Ghana to a comprehensive 4-0 win over Sudan days later.
