No Ghana return for Kevin Boateng- agent

Published on: 27 February 2012

The agent of Kevin-Prince Boateng has revealed that the AC Milan ace will not rescind his decision not to play for Ghana.

The 24-year-old quit international football last November claiming he wanted to remain healthy and avoid injuries.

Ghana coach Goran Stevanovic reiterated the need to talk the former Germany youth international out of retirement to help boost the Black Stars chances of winning medals.

Boateng was exhilarating to watch when he featured for Ghana at the 2010 Fifa World Cup finals.

His absence was felt at the 2012 Nations Cup finals in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea after hitting a rich vein of form in the Italian Serie A and Uefa Champions League.

The player's agent has cast doubts over the German-born's return to the Black Stars.

"The player is focused on how to shake off the recent injuries that has been hampering his continued progress at Milan," Boateng's representative Mario Miele told lalaziosiamonoi.it

Boateng is currently in the AC Milan treatment room due to a thigh injury.
