Hearts of Oak’s spokesman Kwame Opare Addo says no bid has been made to buyout club owner Togbe Afede XIV since declaring his shares are up for sale.

The respected Chief of the Asogli State says he is prepared to quit as board chairman following concerns raised by section of the fans over their perceived poor running of the club.

The disgruntled fans are calling for the immediate dissolution of the current board led by Togbe Afede XIV who is the biggest shareholder of the club.

The renowned econ0mist says he is prepared to leave the club once any individual or group are ready to buy him out.

This declaration was expected to be met with the flooding of several bids especially from the disgruntled fans to reclaim control of the club.

But Hearts spokesman Kwame Opare Addo says no offer has been made.

“He [Togbe Afede XIV] has said clearly he is ready to walk once someone can buy him out but so far no offer has been received,” he said.

“Togbe is waiting to be made an attractive offer from him to offload his shares but surprisingly the people who were making all the noise have failed to match their words with money.

“It therefore calls into question the motives of some of these fans but Togbe is still waiting in the wings to receive offers from anyone who so wishes to take control of the club.”

Togbe Afede XIV took over the control of Hearts of Oak five years ago when his SAS Financial Group purchased the largest chunk of the club shares floated to the public.
