Strikers Kofi Nti-Boakye and Ben Acheampong have not trained with the Asante Kotoko team since their resumption on Tuesday.

The duo are said to have picked up minor knocks in Kotoko's last two games with Mighty Jets and Hearts of Oak.

Though details of the injuries are yet to be disclosed, it is feared they could miss the remainder of the season including what could probably be the club's crowning moment in the Premier League on Sunday against Berekum Arsenals.

The Porcupine Warriors need just a point in that game to secure a record 22nd league title.

Officials however say the club's medical team is still monitoring the situation but sounded less convincing on possible return dates.

"The two (Nti-Boakye and Acheampong) sustained various degrees of minor injuries in both the Hearts and Jets game," the club's spokesman Listowell Bukarson told GHANAsoccernet.com.

"They are under scrutiny by our able medical team led by Dr. Boateng and we hope they recover in time for the rest of the league games."

Also midfielder Yahaya Mohammed remains out for lack of match fitness after recovering from a groin injury.
