Former Ghana Football Association chief Nyaho Tamakloe says he is surprised at the delay on the future of coach Goran Stevanovic.
The GFA's Executive Committee failed to reach a consensus for the second time on whether to allow the Black Stars boss to continue his post or leave.
A final meeting next week with the Serb will address certain key issues before ending speculations about his tenure.
The tough-talking football administrator has hit out at the Federation for keeping the country in suspense.
"I am totally shocked and surprised that the whole GFA cannot take a decision on the future coach. That for me is sad commentary," Tamakloe said
"I know Kwesi Nyantakyi as a very strong and willed person and with the caliber of people that he's working with, I am surprised the decision has kept too long in coming.
"I have worked with him (Kwesi Nyantakyi) and he's great leadership qualities. But the latest twist is very disappointing.
"If you're a leader and you cannot take a decision, then whatââ¬â¢s the point? But I will give him the benefit of doubt because Iââ¬â¢m not there and something really important might be holding the decision up.
''If not then I wonder what weââ¬â¢re been told."
There have been sharp divisions among Ghanaians over the future of Stevanovic after he failed to win the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon an Equatorial Guinea.
The Black Stars managed a fourth-place finish at the tournament.
