Nyantakyi unhappy as sole contender for Ghana FA presidency

Ghana Football Association president Kwesi Nyantakyi has expressed regret that he will go unopposed at this month's presidential elections.

The incumbent will stand the 28 April elections alone after his competitors were disqualified by the election committee over anomalies on their endorsement forms.

The interim Wafu boss and a Caf Executive Committee member is disappointed at the turn of events and claims it would be have been good for competition.

"I must place on record that I'm not happy that there is no competition. I wish that there were there for the sake of competition," Nyantakyi told a local radio station

"But in every country or society, we're also bound by rules and regulations and it imperative we respect that."

Fifa Marketing consultant Neil Armstrong Mortagbe is currently under police investigation following reports of forgery leveled against him by five clubs.
